New York City – Ballet Poster
Brief: create a poster that communicates through visual rhetoric. I illustrated a poster for a New York Ballet Ball by depicting the Statue of Liberty in an en pointe position, reimagined as a ballerina. Her hands are raised above her head in a ballet pose, replacing the lifted torch with a gesture of elegance. The metaphor merges national iconography with the physical language of dance, signaling both New York identity and the refinement of ballet. Typography is excluded so the image communicates the idea directly.
